I am currently a teacher of French in middle school, grades five through eight, and I am certified to teach middle school and high school. I have taught levels kindergarten through eighth grade in both public and private schools. In my career I have strived to improve my knowledge of French and Francophone culture through participation in institutes, exchanges, and travel. As technology changes and becomes integrated in everyday life, including in schools, I have worked to incorporate it in a meaningful way in the curriculum.

Experience
French teacher, Roosevelt Middle School, River Forest, IL 2008-Present
- Teach all levels from fifth grade through eighth grade.
- Responsible for development of curriculum, materials and assessments for use in the classroom.
- Integrated the use of ipads to go beyond word processing to enable students to create and produce using the new technology in a one to one school.
- Analyzed and chose a new textbook to address the curriculum goals.
- Welcomed and mentored a volunteer assistant from France two days a week for two years.
- Established and maintained contacts in France for pen pal and video chat projects.

- Taught French and German at various levels from kindergarten through eighth grade.
- Accompanied groups of students on exchanges to France and Germany and participated as a host teacher.
- Participated in grant supported technology program during which students published original stories.

- Received a scholarship to participate in a teacher training program in Bordeaux, France. 2014
